Smith Hill Community Development Corporation (SHCDC) is a community based organization dedicated to community building and affordable housing.  We are celebrating our fifteenth year of service to the Smith Hill neighborhood. Our mission is to create quality affordable housing choices, promote economic development and foster community in Smith Hill, Providence.

In our fifteen years, we have provided over 85 combined units of “affordable” homeownership and rental opportunities. We currently are taking applications for our rental properties and have several home ownership options available.

Our latest development is Capitol Square at Smith Hill, a 3.5 million dollar, mixed-use, mixed income project that offers six commercial units and thirteen residential condominiums, six of which are designated as affordable housing units.
