Commercial Grant Opportunities

Smith Hill CDC administers a Storefront Improvement Loan Grant designated for businesses along the Smith Street corridor. The application form can be picked up at the CDC offices during normal business hours.

The City of Providence also offers Storefront Improvement Grants for other parts of the city through the Providence Economic Development Partnership.

Storefront Improvement Grants are reimbursable matching grants for visible exterior improvements to retail locations. PEDP will provide grants of up to $1800 to match the retailer’s itemized expenditures on signs and awnings.
