PROVIDENCE - Historic St. Patrick Cemetery on Smith Hill is being restored to its original beauty, thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of neighborhood residents, AmeriCorps volunteers from the Feinstein Institute at Providence College and workers from the Catholic Cemeteries Office.

YouthRAP Summer Program Begins

YouthRAP has begun its Summer Program here at the CDC.  So far, neighborhood youth have engaged in a restoration project for the mural located on the Smith Hill Post Office building and a clean-up of the garden located behind the Library.  Stay tuned for more updates!

Jade E. Emmanuel loves writing mysteries and scary stories. She enjoys reading and writing about everyday teenage experiences. But for a while now, the 13-year-old Providence resident has wanted to try something different, to write on new topics and to share her ideas with other writers. Her dream will come true this weekend as she and 19 other teenagers embark on a week-long writing and sailing adventure aboard a 19th century-style schooner.
